What God Wants

"But Samuel replied: 'Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice,
and to heed is better than the fat of rams.'"
When God lays it on our hearts to do something, we must be quick to do it; no matter how hard, difficult, or uncomfortable the task may be. Rendering to God our complete and wholehearted obedience shows our love for Him ( John 14:15 ). Additionally, living in His will is proof that we acknowledge His sovereignty and control over our lives. So, in every opportunity, let's choose to glorify God and please Him with our obedience. For, God delights in and is pleased when His followers faithfully obey Him ( 1 Sam. 15:22).
How will you choose to obey God today?
God, be glorified through my choices to obey You. Guide me in Your plan for my life as I seek to do Your will and live according to Your Word. Help me to remember that You are not a God who takes disobedience lightly. Do in and through me as You wish.
